Wacom Files U.S. Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against MAXEYE

On August 28, 2024 (U.S. local time) – Wacom Co, Ltd., has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against digital pen maker MAXEYE (Shenzhen Qianfenyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., headquartered in China).

Wacom alleges that the import and sale of Maxeye’s active stylus products in the United States, including styluses compliant with the USI Stylus and Device Specification, infringe Wacom's Active Electrostatic pen related patents. Wacom seeks damages and an injunction against infringement of a total of seven patents.

Wacom owns a total of more than 2,000 pen-related patents globally. This case is important to ensure respect for Wacom’s intellectual property.
