June 3, 2016 (Tokyo, Japan) -- Wacom Co., Ltd, announced that Terada Music Score Co., Ltd, a Tokyo-based company providing new values to people in music scenes through digitizing music scores, has adopted Wacom’s feel™ digital pen solution for its dual-screen E-paper music score device, branded “GVIDO”.
GVIDO, the world’s first device of its kind, was announced by Terada Music Score at Midem, the annual music business conference held in Cannes, France.

Utilizing a 13.3-inch flexible electronic paper display by E Ink Corporation, the GVIDO is thin, lightweight, and comparable in size to conventional music scores. The device comes with Wacom’s feel™ digital pen solution (EMR technology with 2048 pressure levels), allowing users to add hand-written annotations on the music score or erase them, as if they do it on conventional paper music scores. It is commonplace that users of music scores annotate on them to help their play and this can also be faithfully replicated on the GVIDO.
Wacom has been providing its digital pen solutions for various mobile products such as smartphones, tablet devices, PCs and E-books. The addition of digital music score devices to the scope can be expected to help broaden digital pen adoption even further.
Guided by its mission of making the world a more creative place, Wacom continues to collaborate with industry leaders to promote the adoption of digital stationery.
